In this workshop students will learn several fundamental macrame knotting techniques to make their own plant hanger! These techniques can also be used to make many other future projects. All materials (including plants!) included. Students are welcome to bring their own additional cordage, beads, etc. Basic horticulture and the therapeutic benefits of plants will also be discussed.
Bio:
With a background in fine art, fashion and environmental studies, Jess has taught classes at Textile Arts Center, GrowNYC and Tipi Project. She currently works in a variety of mediums exploring the relationship between man and nature, drawing inspiration from her native Southwest.
