Have you ever wondered what makes some guitar music sound so beautiful and harp-like? Aside from strumming and finger-picking, arpeggios are one of the most evocative and interesting ways of using the guitar to express chord changes and melodies. Essentially arpeggios break chords apart into their individual notes to create a sweeping sensation that rises and falls, resulting in a mountain or wave-like shape.
In this class, you will learn how to arpeggiate major and minor chords in different positions and begin to explore the guitar from a new perspective. Learning arpeggios will help you deepen your knowledge of how chords work, what notes belong to them, and develop a more sophisticated technique for the right and left hands.
This class is open to all levels. Please bring a guitar and tune it before class begins.
