Ayurveda Lunar Sequencing

An Investigation into Seasonal Yoga Sequencing and the Art of Teaching Yoga.

Out of the belief that our bodies require a variety of nourishing practices for the different phases in our lives, this immersion into Ayurveda Lunar Sequencing will illustrate how to build a practice that honors and integrates;

The Seasonal Shifts
(Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)

The Monthly Lunar Cycle
(New Moon and Full Moon)

and
The Daily Rhythms
(Morning, Daytime, Evening).

Drawing upon the ancient systems of Yoga, Astrology, Shamanism and Ayurveda, this study will inspire you to rethink how you plan your public and private yoga classes as well as how to create a more sustainable and consistent home practice that syncs to your body’s natural rhythm.

While many yoga practices require the exact same poses for years on end, this immersion challenges the yogi to accept that our bodies are continually changing, as is our environment, as is our needs.

This lunar sequencing style casts light on our natural internal rhythms in relationship to the ever-changing world around us.

WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR

If you have completed a 200-hour teacher-training course and feel that you aren’t quite ready to take the reins of teaching, this immersion will help you to joyfully find your confidence! MEET YOUR GUIDE

Namaste, I'm Amanda!
I have been teaching yoga for almost 15 years, training teachers to teach from the heart of their truth and helping everyday people design habits and practices to enhance the well being of their lives.

I have developed this unique Ayurveda Lunar Sequencing style from witnessing first hand that our bodies, hearts and minds need much more than the same type of yoga practice every single day.  Having allowed my day to day practices to shift I have felt more empowered in my self expression and direction in life. I wish this for everyone!

My asana styles include Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. I am a lover of yoga philosophy, pranayama, kriyas, mantra, and meditation. I am a devoted student of the sacred path, ever exploring and forever evolving.

I have traveled with my work to India, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and throughout the United States. I have studied under Laughing Lotus Founders Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi, Thomas Ashley-Farrand,  Swami Brahmananda Saraswati of the Shankaracharya lineage and am a dedicated disciple of recognized Taino Elder and Ceremonial Leader Maestro Manuel Rufino.

I currently live within my spiritual community of BK,NY where I study sacred practices, traditions and healing techniques from a myriad of lineages by way of my spiritual teacher, Maestro Manuel Rufino. From his teachings I have learned to carry an intertribal altar, celebrating the teachings of all sacred traditions who’s aim is to heal and awaken humanity.

My lifestyle is incredibly unique and I am fortunate to be where I am. My hope is that in sharing my experience and offering the tools I have discovered for sacred living, my efforts will ultimately help people to rise to a higher vibration of love and compassion.
