Come to the Ark for a showing of spectacular visionary art, clothing, ceremonial items, and jewelry handpicked and fair-trade sourced from the Amazon jungle and the Andean Mountains in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Egypt.
We will have various indigenous musical instruments such as handcrafted didgeridoos, ceremonial rattles and custom-painted shamanic drums. There will also be rare harmonic handpan Rav drums from Russia that are impossible to find in any store in the United States
Entrance is FREE. Homemade vegetarian food and drink will be available for purchase.
The work of Alfredo Zagaceta, a master visionary painter from the Peruvian Amazon, will be on display and for sale. Alfredo was trained from his teenage years onwards by the legendary shaman and world famous painter, Pablo Amaringo, in the unique visionary and mystical style of neo-amazonian art. Alfredo visited our community in 2015 and we began working with them and other Amazonian indigenous artists, helping sell and share their traditional art, jewelry, and clothing in the United States. We have a large number of Alfredo’s original paintings and many beautiful prints available for purchase.
This is the only place outside of the jungle to see such a large collection of original Amazonian art and ceremonial items for sale.
Alfredo also requested for us to help them share tapestries, clothing, and fabrics created by the Shipibo people of the Peruvian Amazon, a ancient shamanic culture that has retained a sacred relationship with the natural world, which they depict through their unique visionary and sacred geometric embroidery.
